Do you think that they will implement a new world currency soon?
12.October, 2009
Does this current economic downturn mean that they will enforce the ‘Mark ot the Beast", in order for anyone to buy or sell?
They may implement a new world currency, that is possible. I do think the time of the mark of the beast is soon to be, not very many years from now.

Globalization fundamentalism? Economic Shock Therapy? Disaster Economics? Privatization? Corporal Growth?
06.October, 2009
Outsourcing? Blackwater? 15% flat tax? Privatization even of "Social Security"?
Milton Freedman, in a 1975 letter, was the first to use the phrase "Economic shock therapy".
Was he right?
Crisis shocks like the sunomi, 9-11, illegals, Katrina & Iraq springboard facilitating an "economic fundamentalist" new world?
Crisis, whether natural disaster or terrorism, is only the first "shock" of economic shock therapy.
A second shock is the oppertunistic radical advance of corporations and "globablization" in responce to the tragedy.
A third shock is governmental enforcement of a new economic reality.
The big rise of security survailance?
Now the growing snowball of a $200 Billion dollar industry created for "Homeland Security"?
With the empowerment of corporations, to intrude into all aspects of our lives, is the only acceptable role for government to protect private property?
Even the war in Iraq is privatized to employing mercinary "contractors"!
Have you read "No Logo" about the private corporation’ branding of the world.
Is capitalism and human rights at logger heads? What’s coming down the road?
Do capitalists find a crisis like New Orlenes to be a profit opportunity???
Iraq??? Was it largely about oil after all?
What about the ethics of insurance mercinary fire departments, who put out fires in insurance clients’ houses while the homes of non clients are burning down next door?
What you are describing my friend is what the Bible talks about will happen in the last days, and YES, we are here now already Its not soething to start later, its here folks.
But,tho we may see it and feel a bit of concern, we dont have to worry about any of it, as it is so very very temporary, all of it.
Jesus wil come soon, and we that are truy His wont stay here to go thru the rest of it that God describes as the GREAT TRIBULATION. The nation hasnt seen anything, nor the other nations. THis is all because most ppl have turned their backs on God. He is now only going to protect those that are truy His, in love and obedience to His word.
PPl need to run to Jesus now, and ask Him into their heart, and allow Him to show them how to get thru these last days, til Jesus comes.
Do we want to be left behind and suffer the great tribulation? Its a choice. Or we can choose to go home in the rapture, which is soon, and miss out on all that horror. ITs all choice. WE must choose for Jesus before we die or He comes again, and we must choose to obey Gods word, its not an option to believe and then ignore His word. GOD FORBID.
But, Jesus is coming soon.
Not only do we get the prize of Heaven when we are Gods, belonging to Jesus Christ, but we get love , joy , peace, and living in His kingdom right here and now as we wait, by being GOds.
Run to Jesus today, those who dont yet know Him.
He is coming soon ONce youa re Gods, you dont even have to worry about this stuff. HE will take care of it all, and all sin will end at one point, because of God. He calls us out of sin now too, so that we will be in the place wehre there is no sin, and none of this stuff you just described. Is it all real? YEP.
But, its not a forever thing. Get in the word of God and see. ITs so sweet to trust in Jesus, and then you trust Him more and more. Yes and Amen.
Hallelujah.
God bless you for the question. Sister SHirley
What was the economic, political, and social characteristics of Spain’s empire in the New World? (16th cent.)?
04.October, 2009
Under Habsburg rule (chiefly under Charles I and Philip II of Spain), Spain reached the zenith of its influence and power, controlling territory ranging from the Americas to the Philippines in Asia, the Low Countries (which included territories now in France and Germany), to most of modern-day Italy in Europe, and from 1580 to 1640 Portugal, the Portuguese Empire and various other territories such as Malta in the Mediterranean basin and small enclaves like Ceuta and Oran in North Africa. Altogether, Habsburg Spain was, for well over a century, the world’s greatest power. For this reason, this period of Spanish history has also been referred to as the "Age of Expansion".
The Habsburg years were also a Spanish Golden Age of cultural efflorescence. Some of the outstanding figures of the period were Diego Velázquez, El Greco, Miguel de Cervantes, and Pedro Calderón de la Barca.
By 1500, Europe was beginning to emerge from these demographic disasters, and populations began to explode. Seville, which was home to 60,000 people in 1500 burgeoned to 150,000 by the end of the century. There was a substantial movement to the cities of Spain to capitalize on new opportunities as shipbuilders and merchants to service Spain’s impressive and growing empire. The 16th century was a time of development in Spain as both agriculture and trade burgeoned. Throughout the harsh interior of Castile grain and wool production grew. The former fed an expansion of the population. The latter fed both local textile manufacturing and a lucrative trade with the Netherlands. The Castilian cities of Burgos, Segovia, Cuenca and Toledo, flourished with the expansion of the textile and metellurgical industries. Santander, on the northern Atlantic coast, flourished in its traditional roles as a port linking the country’s interior with northern Europe and as a ship building centre. Southern cities like Cadiz and Seville flourished from the commerce and shipbuilding spurred on by the demands of the American colonies. Barcelona, already one of Europe’s most important and sophisticated trading port cities since the Middle Ages, continued to develop.
English motives during their colonization of the New World?
04.October, 2009
When the English colonized the New World, they had several motives. Among them were, economic, political, and religious motives. My questions are, How were economic and political motives combined in British colonization of North America? How were economic and religious motives combined?
Thanks for the help!
Combination may not be a correct word, in fact each of these factors, must be looked at separately. Economically, the new world presented new resources which could be used in increase the wealth of the motherland. The mother land could also tax through tarrifs this new found wealth. Politically like any other country they would establish motherland insitutions to mirror and compliment their existing political structure. Finally, many religions went to the new world areas in order to practice their religions free of interference and or intolerance.
Describe the social, economic, political changes in Europe that led to exploration of the "New World"?

GOLD !!!
what were the political, religous economic motivations for spanish conquest in the new world?
16.September, 2009
Political reasons would go along with Imperialism. This would create political power struggles between nations. Whoever had more land and colonies would have more power. It would also create economic resources because new goods would be available. These "goods" could include labor in the form of indigenous people/ slaves, as well as raw goods and agricultural things like sugar, coffee, bananas, etc. Religious motivations were often fueled by racism. Wanting to convert people to save souls, etc. The conversion of people was beneficial to the state’s economy and political environment as far as having "tamed" and trained employees/ citizens.

Identify one major economic cause of European voyages of exploration and colonization to the New World?
12.September, 2009
I believe this is primarily the consequence of competition between nations. The Spanish empire were in a position where they were not as powerful in terms of domestic natural strength (economic and military) as either France or Britain, yet Spain wanted to compete with them, Spain could not expand into Europe (because of France) so they expanded a bit into northern Africa but this was difficult and with little return. When it became apparent that territorial power and wealth could be gained on mass through colonization of the new world the state jumped on the opportunity quickly leading to the other major powers jumping on the band wagon to expand their power relative to the others.
