For an economics project at school, we have to develop a 4th world country to a 1st world country…we have to purchase things such as resources, literacy, transportation, etc. The instructor informed us that there was a specific order that economists would follow when developing a country.

In a pioneer place the early settlers are very isolated and lack LABOR. Their aim is to encourage more people to live and work there, so that the process of division of work into more specialized jobs will result in greater efficiency.

The next shortage is in DURABLE CAPITAL GOODS. For example, at plowing time the owner of the few serviceable plows and draft animals is king!

Finally when these two problems are overcome and there are more people around and the amount of savings and borrowings allow for some useful investments in durables to be made, then the final shortage is in useful LAND. The early pioneers settled on the best land and any new comers now are having to live far away from the center of things, where the only land available is not very productive nor useful.

The solution to this problem is for the government to pass laws so that the opportunity to use the land is made equal for everyone. This might be achieved by taxing land values and not incomes. But do you see any new country with sufficient sense to do this? No, all they are doing is corrupting the system for personal gain.

I saw in the $1 bill since i study Latin and It says "Novus ordo seclorum" which means New World Order". Obama supports the North American Union which merges and makes the U.S., Mexico, and Canada borderless which will abolish the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. He also supports globalization where the whole world is under one economy and the New World Order. People misinterpret when the presidents talk about New World Order, it does not mean for the world to cooperate but for the world to undergo a change in the economy and everything else. Baha’is believe in a future ‘New World Order’, but this term first came into use in 1912 or so, thus pre-dating George H.W. Bush (Senior)’s use of the term by 80 years or so. My question is whether the Baha’i concept, which is all about respect, compassion, spiritual answers to economic problems, justice etc. is the light side of the "New World Order" as it is discussed by conspiracy theorists, particularly in the 1990’s (in my experience anyways!) Conspiracy theorists generally describe the NWO to mean the centralization of power and wealth on a grand scale, with the rich getting richer and the poor getting dead. Oil and media company mergers are symptoms of this approaching "order", as is the increasing tyranny of our own government (USA).

I don’t think the Baha’i vision has any relationship to a vision of the "rich getting richer and the poor getting dead", since we believe that both extremes (wealth and poverty) should be eliminated. Unlike the usual conspiracies, we think it should be done *voluntarily* when we realize that we are all brothers and sisters & learn to genuinely care about each other.

What economic system would be in place (capitalism, communism, etc.)?
What freedoms would we have or not have?

if USA, Europe go into economic recession, can the other new economic powers join China, South Korea and others to offset the Western economic decay in order to continue pushing world economic growth? is the rise of these economic powers healthy, making economic wealth more spread out?

"Economic decay"? I think not! These economies are still growing but at a slower rate than desirable.

The growth of these economies is good for the world economy and for the nations where these are growing.

All you have to do is read their own magazine, FOREIGN AFFAIRS. Go to the CFR website: www.cfr.org, and look at their membership list. Read some of the statements about "…an end run around national sovereignty", and you’ll get a pretty good idea of who these people are, and what they are up to.

There is certainly more than one of them. They work in secret. They claim that there is no proposed North American Union (which they are building under the Security and Prosperity Partnership), but former Mexican president Vicente Fox admitted that there is. The Canadian province of Alberta has a website. Their page on transportation and infrastructure shows the proposed NAFTA Superhighway, which the Administration insists doesn’t exist.

So, there are two or more of them, they are working in secret, and I would certainly say that people who have taken an oath to support and defend to Constitution, who undermine our national sovereignty, are doing evil.
